This is THE best place for inspections and car service. It seems like a well-kept secret, but I know that can't be the case, esp. judging by the line of cars I saw today awaiting inspection. Every time I go here, I am never disappointed, and always wowed, today being no exception.- So, a very well-known South ATX dealership told me after a routine oil change that my oil filter housing was leaking and needed replacing. (I had thought something may have been wrong, as I had seen some unidentified liquid dripping for a while and it seemed the maintenance light came on a bit earlier.) Anyhow, said dealership explained the "problem," gave me a quote (absolutely ridiculous), at which point I immediately declined their "service," grabbed my key and left. Months later, my oil maintenance light came on, so I took it to Duett's. Walking into the office we met Rick, friendly and attentive. I told him the issue and handed him my key. He told me what to expect and I let them do their thing. (I really appreciated that Duett's called me to ask more questions and explain what they were doing to "make sure" that IF something was wrong, they could identify it. They were very thorough.) The final synopsis (drumroll) ...absolutely *nothing* was wrong with my car. Not even a little bit wrong. The dye tests showed no leaks, but I did have a filthy air filter. (Did I mention that the same aforementioned dealership left an oversized paper offer to buy my car on the passenger seat before I left?) #NotCoolDealership...NotCool. #DuettsCameThrough! Duett's, thank you...again! I plan on coming back...but not too soon, hopefully!
